During the service learning, I experienced and learned many new things. Apart from guiding the young kids in their academics, I also had the opportunity to take control over them. Although it was not easy waking up early in the morning to rush to the student care, I persevered. Each time I felt sleepy, I think of "Nil Sine Labore". There were few kids that come from broken families. One of them had a gambling addict father, sick mother, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Oldest 2 brothers are in jail for consuming drugs. 3rd brother has down syndrome and the oldest sister has cancer. Only he and his 2nd sister is normal. From that, I learnt to appreciate my family more. Also, I released my tortoise into the pond outside the classroom as it is dying soon in my bathroom sink. I learnt to give life as life is precious. Although my tortoise is not with me, it will always be in my heart. I love you tortoise. Also, not forgetting the main organizer for the service learning whom have not even done a single hour. I would like to thank Mr Tan Wil Beng for this fruitful experience. I would also like to thank my father for fetching me to the centre everyday, my mother for cooking lunch for me when I reach home. My brother for not snatching the computer with me after my service learning. 谢谢!
