Although it was unfortunate that I have not gotten a chance to involve myself in the Service Learning due to some unfortunate incident, I heard from my friends that many of the children at the service centre are very unfortunate, be it in terms of physical health or family background. I used to think almost everyone around me is normal and able-bodied, until I heard of those unfortunate children. It made me realized that even in an advanced country like Singapore, there are always people who are less fortunate than us and need our help. I look forward to the time when I can get myself experiencing the service learning, and give out a helping hand to those in need.
