This service learning has really taught me to be more patient towards other people. I have also learnt that each person has their own strength and weaknesses. Moreover, we have to use a different type of approach when we are guiding other people because not all are able to understand fully. Thus, by doing this, we can maximize the children's potential and also overcome their own weaknesses.

The best thing that happened to me in service learning is the product of my teachings. I am really delighted when the children are finally understand and able to apply in their daily work easily. I am also somewhat relieved as they do not need to approach me that often and I can continue to teach others.

I may be staying in the community when I grow older because I feel that the community has given me education by letting me enter a primary school and a secondary school. Hence, I feel that I should teach other people who are in need of help in terms of education factor so that I can also repay the community for what they had done for me.

3I To Tin Yat (32)

My service learning helped me to work better with children during the actual service learning and better with other people during the planning stage. My worst experience was when mis-communication happens between me and the people in charge as some of my classmates would get the wrong information. I learnt that I should clarify if I am not clear with the organisers as if I do not clearify, the misinformation will spread and everyone will get the wrong message. Yes, I do see myself getting involved in future years as I realised that there are many people in society that are less fortunate than me and are not given the equal opportunities.
